Is LanoX Legit? Company, Data Handling, Refunds, and Model Sources

Published Updated Data as of

By LanoX Team. All facts checked on November 3, 2026 (Asia/Dubai). This article is written by LanoX about LanoX, so every claim below links to a public page you can check yourself.

LanoX is run by Hong Kong Yuanhua Network Technology Co., Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong that lists 5 office locations. Its published policies say it does not store your prompts or responses, bills pay-as-you-go in US dollars, and treats top-ups as final apart from 7 listed exceptions. The best way to judge any API platform, LanoX included, is to read those policies, start with a small top-up, and check that every call shows the model, usage, and charge you expect.

We cannot point you to independent reviews, and we will not quote user counts or ratings. Below are the facts, each with its source.

Who runs LanoX?

The About page says: "LanoX is an AI platform developed by Hong Kong Yuanhua Network Technology Co., Limited." It lists 1 registration location (Hong Kong), 5 office locations (UAE, Turkey, USA, "Hong Kong, China," and China), and 2 other products from the same company, WG Cards and SKYLANO. The support email is support@lanox.ai (checked 2026-11-03).

The company's address appears in the contact section of the LanoX Analytics page: UNIT 917B, 9/F., TOWER A, NEW MANDARIN PLAZA, NO.14 SCIENCE MUSEUM ROAD TST, KL (checked 2026-11-03).

Does LanoX store your prompts?

The Security & Trust page answers this in FAQ 01 (checked 2026-11-03):

  • "Does LanoX store my prompts and responses? No."
  • "Account, usage, and billing records are kept to provide the service, but they do not contain your prompts or responses."
  • "This policy applies to LanoX; upstream model providers have their own data policies, which you should check separately."

The homepage says the same in shorter form: "Your prompts and responses are not stored." and "LanoX processes your content only to complete your request, never for training, sale, or marketing." (checked 2026-11-03).

The last point in FAQ 01 matters. Your request still reaches the company that runs the model, so read that provider's policy too. Our guide to whether an AI API relay is safe (coming soon) covers this in more detail.

How does LanoX bill you?

The pricing FAQ says: "LanoX is pay-as-you-go, with no monthly fee or subscription. Your account is billed in US dollars" (checked 2026-11-03). You top up a balance and each call draws from it.

Can you try it before paying?

Partly. On 2026-11-03 the catalog marked 20 of 82 models as free. The homepage FAQ adds that free models and promotional credits are different things: "this does not mean every model is free or that usage is unlimited," and promotional credits "you can use them only after they have been granted" (checked 2026-11-03).

Can you get your money back?

The refund policy (version 1.0, effective August 18, 2026, checked 2026-11-03) is strict, so read it before you pay:

  • Unless mandatory law requires otherwise or a Section 5 exception applies, "all top-ups are final transactions."
  • Section 5 lists 7 exceptions: duplicate charge, charged but not credited, amount processing error, unauthorized transaction, platform inability to perform, mandatory legal requirement, and written commitment by the platform.
  • Your balance "may not be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, resold, pledged, or used for off-platform payments" and "may not be transferred between accounts, except where the Platform expressly provides an organization account transfer function."
  • Section 7: "A user's voluntary account cancellation, cessation of service use, or unused balance does not create a refund right."

This page summarizes the policy. The policy itself is the version that applies.

Where do the models come from?

The Models & Pricing page describes model access as "Connect through official provider channels, with a clear source for every model" (checked 2026-11-03). The page does not describe any authorization agreement with the model providers, so do not read more into it than it says. Check the calls yourself instead.

The docs give a 4-step check: requested model, actual result, usage record, and final charge. The docs FAQ adds: "Similar names or different versions should not be treated as the same model. If the records do not match, contact support with the request time and request ID so the call can be investigated." (checked 2026-11-03). For test prompts and a step-by-step method, see how to verify an API relay serves the real model (coming soon).

What do teams get?

The Enterprise page FAQ 02 says monthly billing, invoices, and usage statements "are available by agreement," and FAQ 03 says you can discuss "subaccounts and usage budgets for individual members or departments." On uptime, FAQ 05 says only: "Availability and response commitments can be defined within the contract." (checked 2026-11-03). If uptime matters to you, get the terms in writing.

Who should not use LanoX?

  • You need refundable prepaid credit. Top-ups are final apart from 7 exceptions in the refund policy.
  • You need uptime commitments without signing a contract. The Enterprise page says availability commitments are defined "within the contract"; the 2026-11-03 pages show no public uptime figure.
  • You need independent reviews or audit reports before buying. We could not find any to cite on 2026-11-03.
  • You need to move balance between accounts. The policy allows this only where an organization account transfer function is expressly provided.

What should you check before you pay?

Run these 5 checks on LanoX or any other API platform:

  1. Read the refund policy. Know what is refundable before you add money.
  2. Start small. Top up the least you need to run a real test, or start with 1 of the free models.
  3. Match the model ID. Copy it from the live catalog and confirm the response reports the same model.
  4. Check the usage record. Tokens, images, or video seconds should match what you sent and received.
  5. Keep the API key on the server. Never put it in browser code, public repositories, or screenshots.
